Who are we?
In 1945 the Saanich Peninsula Conference was established through the St. Elizabeth’s
Church in Sidney, BC. In 2001 our Conference was renamed St. Elizabeth of Hungary.
As Vincentians we service the parishioners of St. Elizabeth of Hungary and Our Lady of
Assumption, and serve those living in Sidney, Saanichton, and Brentwood Bay areas, as
well as the residents of Tsawout, Tsartlip, Tseycum and Pauquachin reserves.
We support those in need in our community through:
- Person-to-person assistance to families and individuals
- Visitation to elderly, sick and disabled.
- Donations of food and financial assistance to the Saanich Peninsula Food Bank
and Social Concern Office in Victoria, supporting their food security program and
drop-in services.
Plus, we offer international support to a twin Conference in Amaga, Columbia.
We always welcome new members and meet regularly on the second Thursday of each
month.
Our works of service are grounded in love of neighbour and justice – since it only takes
a small effort to make a big impact.
Share Christ’s Love
Change a Life
Charity is certainly greater than any rule. Moreover, all rules must lead to charity.
