Notre Dame Conference has been serving residents of the Alberni Valley, including the
Tseshaht and Hupačasath First Nations, since 2003. We respond to people who ask for
our assistance through personal contact to ascertain how we might best assist them.
Most often this takes the form of emergency food supplies, but “no form of charity is
foreign to the Society”, so our support will vary according to the specific needs of the
individuals concerned.

We have made nearly 10,000 home visits in the past two decades responding to those
requesting help. We aim to show the love of Christ to those who are losing hope,
without trying to convert them. We are all children of God and as such we are called to
support one another as best we can by sharing our time and resources with those in
need.

Plus, we offer international support to a twin Conference in Trinidad.
We always welcome new members and meet regularly on the second Wednesday of
each month.

Our works of service are grounded in love of neighbour and justice. It only takes a small
effort to make a big impact.
